TIBÁ - Institute of Intuitive Technologies and Bio-Architecture

The alternative school in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is devoted to the teaching and research of low-impact architecture, applied ecology and intuitive design.

The educational centre in Brazil, state of Rio de Janeiro,  was founded in 1987 by dutch architect and urbanist Johan van Lengen; himself a living legend of the sustainability movement – author of the Barefoot Architect's Manual.

TIBÁ is leading workshops with renowned experts in intuitive design, bio-architecture, bamboo construction, agroforestry and unconventional edible plants (so called PANCs); runs artistic events, an artist-in-residency program, and offers consultations in architectural projects.
